Senior Cybersecurity Architect

Job objective: Epirus is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Architect to join the Cybersecurity & Compliance team. This is an engineering-first role focused on the planning, implementation, and optimization of our cutting-edge Cybersecurity infrastructure. In this role, you will support and champion our cyber defense capabilities, manage the security frameworks, while navigating the evolving threat landscape. The right candidate will manage all aspects of the security architecture while balancing business needs with information and compliance requirements. In this role you will integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, design cyber security architectural artifacts, and provide analysis of cybersecurity features as they relate to future needs and trends. Our ideal candidate would also possess strong networking & system administration skills, on top of having an inherent passion for all things cybersecurity.

• Working alongside the IT & Security team providing cross-domain support on IT and Security tasks, projects, initiatives, and tickets
• Ensure the security and accountability of our entire fleet of laptops, workstations, servers, and cloud infrastructure
• Deploy and maintain cyber security platforms including endpoint security, firewalls, and monitoring systems
• Design security architecture elements that balance business requirements with information & cybersecurity requirements
• Assess security threats/risks, recommend, and assist in the delivery of solutions to mitigate risks
• Participate in the creation and administration of data security policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist with detection, response, and correlation analysis, to action applicable remediation efforts
• Support security audits with both internal and external customers
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and network/system maps as required
• Utilize existing security monitoring tools to evaluate and improve the security organization systems and networks

• 7+ years of hands-on Cybersecurity experience 
• Minimum of 3+ years of IT experience, specific to networking & systems
• Experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center)
• CISSP or other relevant certifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and MS Intune MDM

• Startup experience and/or Defense/Aerospace experience
• Experience with FortiNet products
• Experience with the Tenable product lines
• Experience with NIST compliance frameworks
