Role Summary
As a Senior D365 Developer, you will play a crucial role in Bottomline's migration from our existing on-premise Dynamics AX system to D365 hosted on Azure. In addition to driving this critical initiative, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support and functional development to ensure the continued growth and success of the platform. The ideal candidate must be proactive and knowledgeable, with the ability to effectively analyze business needs and translate them into practical code-based solutions. The individual must show initiative, common sense, persistence, resilience, and a deep technical aptitude as well as being able to work individually and in a team.
This position can be based out of a remote location in the United States with ability to work East Coast hours
How you’ll contribute:
- Provide senior-level development, configuration, and maintenance skills for Bottomline’s AX/D365 implementation
- Provide design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation expertise for AX/D365 customizations
- Work closely with Architecture and Business colleagues to plan and implement ongoing functional changes and upgrades
- Provide emergency support for critical system issues, including leadership in diagnostic direction and patch/release support.
- Mentor other team members in AX/D365 support
- Plan upgrade paths and work with management on Dynamic AX/D365 roadmap development.
- Design Unit Test Scripts and complete all unit testing prior to business release
- Develop User Acceptance test scripts and work with business users to complete User Acceptance testing
- Assist in Sprint planning sessions to identify capacity and organize backlog and sprint deliverables
- Break down and describe development and support activities to allow less experienced team members to work on bounded development
- Provide status updates, both verbal and written, to team members including Project Leader(s), IS leader(s), Business sponsor(s) and executive staff
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fluid environment
- Successful working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IS or related is preferred
- 5+ years of development, technical & functional experience with AX2012R3 / D365 Finance & Operations
- 2+ years development, technical & functional experience with D365 Finance & Operations in Azure
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS SQL
- Logical approach to problem solving
- Experience in creating solid documentation for maintenance and support
- Experience working with agile development methodology strongly preferred
- Salesforce experience (preferable)Experience with Jira and Confluence
