Senior Data Analyst

Job Title:  Senior Data Analyst – Predictive Analytics and Insights

Classification:  Full-time Exempt

Job Summary:  As a member of the Predictive Analytics and Insights Team, the Senior Data Analyst will work with consulting team to support multifaceted client engagements related to risk management, contractor management systems, safety culture studies and process automation to implement a best-in-class contractor management program.  The Senior Data Analyst will also perform data analysis and reporting activities, including the identification and implementation of predictive analytics approaches for assessing contractor risk. The position requires demonstrated analytics and technical skills with a solid statistics or quantitative analysis background. The employee will also use analytical and technology skills to optimize internal data operations through business process automation and enhanced operational reporting.

1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide reliable access to high quality data through dashboards and reports
• Present summarized procedures, results, and business recommendations
• Participate in researching new predictive analytics methods and visualization approaches that facilitate decision making and risk score carding
• Help identify and plan the analyses of client challenges, formulate hypothesis and draft recommendations for solutions throughout the engagement lifecycle
• Develop internal best practices, standardize templates, and update internal reference documents to improve process efficiency
• Collecting and gathering client data to test hypotheses
• Engage with multiple clients at all stages of delivery
• Assist in the development of thought leading materials and case studies
• Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
• All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, ISN Management or their Supervisor
• Other tasks and projects as directed by the management team

2.0 Requirements

2.1 Education and Training

• Graduate degree (Master’s or above) in Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, MIS, Applied Statistics or related quantitative field and/or equivalent work experience

2.2 Knowledge and Skills

• 2+ years of directly related work experience
• 2+ years of experience working with data visualization tools – Tableau (Required), Power BI
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL and writing queries including complex joins
• At least 1 year of experience using Python for data manipulation and developing predictive models
• Demonstrate initiative, entrepreneurialism, and creativity
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, rigorous problem solving and research skills
• Demonstrate ownership and responsibility of projects
• Ability to communicate meaning of principles and processes to technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and problem-solving skills development

The location: ISN is based in Dallas, TX. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.

Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
