Senior Data Analyst/Manager, Business Intelligence (On-Site)

We are looking for a Data Manager / Senior Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team in New York. You will apply your analytical and strategic skills to generate data-driven insights that span across the company. You will be tasked with working collaboratively to solve major company challenges, creating business intelligence dashboards to help stakeholders keep a pulse on the business, running ad hoc analyses and extracting valuable insights, and more.

What You’ll Do. (Salary Range 115k -130k)

• Work with team leadership to solve business challenges using analysis to make strategic, tactical observations and recommendations. 
• You are able to (i) Acquire, manipulate, analyze, and synthesize key metrics and data concepts; (ii) Gather requirements for data reporting and other data solutions; (iii) Create well-written, clear, concise and above all accurate documentation including specifications, data dictionary, mapping documents and process diagrams.
• Apply expertise in constructing and optimizing complex SQL queries across large volumes of data
• Maintain quality and accuracy of Goldbelly’s data
• Assist in interpretation of data for the analysis of user trends
• Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, making assumptions, drawing conclusions, and sharing results of complex analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong team player who can work closely with colleagues across Goldbelly including: Finance, Growth Marketing, Product/Tech, Operations and Customer Service
• Be a mentor for other analysts in the company, and help to develop the next generation of managers / senior analysts

What You’ve Done

• Degree in an analytical field (finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science, economics, natural sciences)
• 3-4+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role or Data Manager role
• Proficient in building dashboards to meet data reporting needs of the business
• Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
• Experience with Snowflake, Metabase, Sigma, Tableau, Google Analytics, and/or other BI tools
• Preferred: Experience working with Looker, DBT, Jira/Confluence, ETL tools (e.g. Airflow) and/or A/B testing tools
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Familiarity with analyzing user acquisition growth channels preferred (e.g. paid search, paid social, email, etc.)
• Experience creating BI dashboards and reports
• Strong communication skills, ability to present data as a story, and a desire to collaborate with others
• Can generate comprehensive reports, analyze trends and make meaningful recommendations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
