Senior Data Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our IT Data & Analytics team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a wide variety of data analytics projects catering to multiple business teams and the executive leadership team within Clarivate. The team consists of 9 people and is reporting to the Senior Manager of Data & Analytics. We have a great skill set in dashboarding and data analysis and we would love to speak with you if you have extensive skills in Power BI.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 5+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst or similar data-focused role

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Service or a comparable tool

• Strong skills in Data Modelling, DAX/M Language

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Prior experience working with data warehousing with deep understanding of database structures, SQL, and ETL processes.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Problem-solving aptitude and strong analytical skills.

• Experience working in an agile development environment.

• Certification in Power BI, Data Analysis, or related field.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and analytical requirements.

• Gather data requirements, design data models, and build data sets from various source systems within the organization.

• Develop calculated fields, measures, and write DAX formulas to transform and enrich data.

• Design and build interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Power BI to deliver actionable insights.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and implement proper data governance processes.

• Automate data refresh schedules and setup deployment pipelines for sharing content.

• Provide training and support to business users on how to effectively consume and analyze data.

• Stay up to date on new Power BI features/capabilities and enhance reporting solutions accordingly.

About the Team

You will be a part of Clarivate’s IT Services unit, as part of the Data and Analytics team with a focus of helping colleagues across different business units derive meaningful business insights. This team with a mix of data analysts, BI tools specialists and data scientist plays a pivotal role in deriving meaningful patterns, trends, and knowledge from the data that empowers different areas within Clarivate drive intelligent business decisions.

Hours of Work  

• Full time, permanent based out of Bangalore Location

• 45 hours in a week, working days Monday to Friday,

• Hybrid Position in Bangalore (Working 2-3 days a week in the office)
