About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, an independent mindset, and the ability to take the reins and run with assignments. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Data Analysis and SQL Expertise: Utilize your SQL experience to analyze complex datasets. 
  • Mapping / Testing Specifications: Lead the development and documentation of mapping specifications based on large data files and test case scenarios for the testing phase. Ensure accuracy and consistency in data transformation processes.
  • Healthcare Payor Data: Leverage your experience with healthcare payor data to drive insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide data insights, and communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Independence and Initiative: Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. Take ownership of assignments, work independently, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-related projects. Partner with data engineers to contribute to the continuous improvement of our data practices.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related SQL experience, preferably with Google BigQuery or SQL Server.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with large data file analysis and transformation.
  • Experience with healthcare payor data is essential.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and understand their data needs.
  • Strong experience in leading and documenting mapping specifications and/or creating / automating test cases.
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.

Where you are located 

  • This is a remote position. Must be located in the United States.
  • The Company may from time to time require you to travel temporarily to other locations in connection with the Company's business (5-10% travel)
