ClickUp is looking for a motivated Marketing Data Analyst. We are building a world class Growth organization at ClickUp with the goal to make a significant impact on the company's already rapid global growth. We want to make sure we are both innovative and rigorous as we build out our marketing analytics function and determine the most high impact ways to spend our marketing dollars.
This person will report to the Director of Marketing Analytics & BI and will play an instrumental role in building the foundations of measuring and understanding the impact of our media spend and marketing campaigns. You will work with our demand gen leaders to help drive data-backed decisions. You will be responsible for defining key performance indicators, collecting and analyzing demand generation data, developing dashboards and reports on the velocity and quality of our pipeline, and cascading insights about how we can accelerate and elevate our demand generation efforts.
About the Team Â
The analytics team is made up of data analysts that are strategic business partners. We collaborate with marketing channel leads, internal data teams (BI, Data Engineering, and Data Science), and various internal stakeholders in the Growth Organization that are responsible for driving new consumers and sales pipeline.Â
As a Marketing Analytics team, we arm marketing channels with the tools and data needed to make important investment decisions. We aim to uncover actionable insights that will maximize revenue, lower cost, and improve customer retention.
The Role:Â
- Turn loosely defined problems into practical analyses.
- Produce, automate and maintain demand and pipeline reporting (primarily in Salesforce and Tableau)
- Track and analyze demand and pipeline trends, assessing quality and outcomes, and identifying/implementing optimizations based on your insight
- Empower teams to make data-informed decisions by creating Tableau dashboards and reports, writing custom SQL queries that provide insightful observations, and creating predictive models.
- Understanding the user context around data analysis and present insight to leaders.
- Extracting meaningful insights which will help drive product decisions from large sets of data.
- Developing a strong business sense and understanding of business performance drivers.
- Utilize proactive and autonomous initiative to understand the needs of the org and drive forward the right project, while also supporting others that can benefit from your expertise.
- Mold 3rd party data from platforms where we buy media with internal data through SQL to provide insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and present quantitative analysis in a digestible manner for the larger marketing organization (i.e. be the translator between the technical and non-technical).
- Develop test plans to measure the performance of acquisition strategies and inform optimizations and future tests.
- Own and lead analysis using data and insights to influence and support marketing strategy.
- Conduct ad hoc investigations into anomalies as well as different drivers of channel performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in a technical field such as Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Stats, etc.
- 1-3 experience as a Business/Data Analyst or Data Scientist (preferably in a SaaS organization).
- Experience with demand / pipeline analytics and management
- Deep understanding of key pipeline metrics and demand generation processes
- Experience working in Salesforce
- Experience working with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, HEX, QuickSight).
- Advanced SQL knowledge, expertise in Excel, and BI Visualization Tool experience (preferably Tableau).
- A strong self-starter, operationally-focused; a problem-solver.
- Data Stack: AWS, Snowflake, SQL, Postgres, BI tools.
Desirable:
- Experience in with Google or Adobe Analytics
- Experience with Salesforce
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics.
- Technical competence to perform more advanced analytics using Python or R.
