We founded the company as a fully-remote team (pre Covid!) and are open to applicants that live within a 5 hour time zone difference of US Pacific Time.
About the Role
Monarch is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to work cross functionally across marketing product finance and operations. You will be an early member of the data team and help build infrastructure enable data-driven decision making at all levels of the company and provide accurate and timely analysis to help solve complex problems across the business. You thrive in a fast-paced environment are comfortable in ambiguous situations and can build something new when what you need doesnโt already exist.
Responsibilities

Build & Improve Data Infrastructure : Create new datasets and pipelines while enhancing our existing data infrastructure to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Enable Self-Service Analytics : Develop intuitive models and train team members on our BI tool empowering stakeholders to independently access insights.

End-to-End Analytics Projects : Manage projects from data ingestion into our warehouse (we use Fivetran & Snowflake) to transforming data with DBT and crafting user-facing dashboards.

Deliver Strategic Insights : Provide data-driven recommendations to guide key business decisions sharing findings across teams and with leadership.

Understand User Behavior : Analyze product and feature usage to assess long-term cohort health and uncover opportunities for improvement.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience : 5+ years in a data analyst (or similar) role ideally at a growth-stage company.

Curiosity & Adaptability : Naturally curious with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make thoughtful trade-offs between speed and accuracy.

Communication Skills : Adept at collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders translating complex concepts into actionable steps and communicating roadblocks clearly.

SQL Expertise : Expert level SQL in advanced features such as window functions creating new tables and writing clean succinct code.

Tool Proficiency : Hands-on experience with:

BI/data visualization tools (we use Omni) to create dashboards and empower self-service analytics.

Product analytics platforms (we use Amplitude) to understand user behavior and analyze experiments.

DBT or similar tools for data transformation and dataset creation.

Data warehouse (we use Snowflake)
