Job Purpose

Support needs related to gathering, maintaining, and governing asset data across the electric business. Add value by analyzing data, process, and technical challenges, and delivering solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with peers, stakeholders, and technical partners to analyze end-to-end data, process, and system workflows including developing and implementing enduring workflows across systems and departments
• Perform data error analysis and updates based on system validations, engineering designs, and information from the field, to ensure electric asset data is accurate
• Identify business process, data, and system improvement opportunities. Work with stakeholders, SMEs, and technical partners to develop and progress targeted improvement plans for ASPEN RDB, Smallworld GIS, and other electric asset data systems
• Create and maintain a reference library of job aids and documentation for electric asset data and system workflows
• Embed best practice solutions while promoting security, consistency, availability, standardization, and accuracy of asset information

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

• Proven experience working with diverse teams to gather user requirements and translate into action plans
• Ability to drive efforts to support training/upskilling and knowledge sharing with peers and stakeholders
• Exceptional and demonstrated customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) including proven ability to effectively communicate with leadership teams, peers, and both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, Technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of a degree and work experience.
• Ability to travel throughout the National Grid service territory as needed (less than 20%)
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history
• Data, process, and system workflow analysis with the ability to identify problems, gaps, and opportunities, and propose solutions
• Demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Experience working with utility GIS models and systems - Smallworld GIS and/or ESRI
• Experience working with utility asset information is highly desirable
• Proficient with computer applications including databases, spreadsheets and other general applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a matrix environment
• Highly motivated with ability to take an assignment and progress it independently

Salary

$78,000 - $92,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
