Summary

The Market Insights Senior Data Analyst helps the organization understand consequential insights from external and internal data and clearly communicates strategic and commercial recommendations based on those insights as a data analytics leader on the global market research team. Hollister Incorporated is operating in a hybrid-working environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop the market research analytics capability to inform data-driven strategic decisions and commercial success.
• Advanced Analytics: Bring together data from a variety of sources and apply multivariate analysis techniques, statistical modeling, simulation, optimization techniques, etc. to uncover market and customer insights that address strategic business opportunities and challenges.
• Secondary Research: Analyze both market and internal data sources to inform global commercial strategy and execution (e.g., Customer Lifetime Value, KPI development and identify drivers of KPI movement, cannibalization modeling, market opportunity modeling, etc.)
• Primary Research: With voice-of-customer researchers, conduct market research (e.g., market size and growth, brand strength and stature, etc.) to identify trends and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations for market opportunity, positioning and differentiation.
• Collaborate: Work closely with marketing teams, data engineers, and business stakeholders to provide data-driven insights, recommendations and actionable strategies
• Communicate: Explain complex analytical results and recommendations to business stakeholders with simplicity, clarity and brevity
• Teach: Train the organization to become more advanced with data analytics and modeling.
• Travel: 5-10% (sales co-travel, represent insights function at global meetings, attend workshops)
• Lead: Must be able to turn complexity into simplicity and demonstrate a natural passion for working with data.

Work Experience Requirements

• 8-12 years' experience in market research and applying advanced quantitative analysis within a business context
• Understanding of business and marketing principles, concepts and strategies

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or related field. Master's preferred.

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

• Experienced with Python, PowerBI, R, SAS, SPSS or similar software
• Advanced experience with Excel
• Experience creating data visualization (e.g., PowerBI)
