Functional Scope:
The Senior Data Analyst will gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of marketing and client-related data to identify causal relationships, trigger points and predictions in relation to future product sales, subscriber churn and customer product engagement.
Upon the completion of various analyses of client data, the role will strategically create a business and/or marketing roadmap to provide internal channels with the purpose of growing revenue while ensuring sound alignment with Mood's long-term vision, mission and strategy. The position is instrumental to ongoing collaboration efforts with management in making data-driven decisions vital to the company's and its clients' success. Example projects include churn analysis, client behavior and segmentation, sales analysis and opportunities, marketing key performance indicators, marketing performance forecast and return on investment, and product level analysis.
Role Location:
The role will be formally based out of the company's Ft. Mill, SC, location (Charlotte metro) and is a "flexible hybrid" position (some days in the office, some days at home depending on what is needed). A secondary base office option is the company's Austin, TX, location.
Depending on the quality of the candidate, this can potentially be a remote position if the employee lives within a reasonable geographic area that allows for occasional driving trips to Mood's Ft. Mill or Austin office.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and streamline a data analytics practice within Mood.
- Analyze client data and identify key areas for growth and retention.
- Determine the efficacy of marketing directives and identify ways to adjust campaigns to best engage target consumers.
- Responsible for marketing data management and providing strategic target marketing concepts and models to executive management.
- Own business analytics and reporting solutions across all channels and segments and serve as the analytics consultant within the company.
- Advise business partners with regards to patterns and relationships in the data to recommend business direction or outcomes.
- Create and own an end-to-end, repeatable process for delivering data and analyses to business stakeholders, including data modeling and building data pipelines.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to deliver data-driven product andbusiness insights.
- Work with BI tools and data to ensure daily reporting, company wide, is accurate and up to date.
- Perform data analysis, summarize findings and create actionable models from such analysis.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional hands-on experience working with marketing data and analytics.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a sole contributor data analytics role.
- Experience identifying, owning and managing complex data sets and analyzing such data to draw overall trends and conclusions regarding present and potential clients.
- Experience extracting data from large data sets with SQL.
- In-depth understanding of analytics, database, and technology platforms and media channels.
- Experience with CRM and automated marketing software platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud and Marketo.
- Strong background building reports and dashboards in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Advanced expertise working in SQL (primarily T-SQL, but necessary to also know PL/SQL, MySQL)
- Experience with the marketing and sales data platform Marketo Measure (formerly Bizible)
- Experience turning data into insights and actionable items using data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Able to turn data into storytelling; effectively communicate compelling insights from qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Experience with testing and evaluation of marketing campaign elements as well as tracking and measuring campaign metrics.
- Experience developing overall engagement strategy and working with various SMEs, discipline leads and teams to execute plans.
- Inquisitive nature and desire to develop compelling insights that drive integrated analytics across the customer journey.
- Ability to personally prepare executive or client level presentations.
- Excellent communication skills with a distinct ability to inspire, motivate, influence and build trusting business relationships with others.
- Excellent business acumen including critical thinking, problem solving and analytical instincts with sound business judgment.
- Track record of pushing innovative new initiatives to completion in corporate environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred but not required.
