Senior Data and Analytics Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Project Manager with a robust technical understanding of data platforms. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of data platforms and delivery of use cases, including data visualization, data science/AI, and real-time analytics. Experience in leading complex projects and managing diverse stakeholders, including third-party vendors, is essential. This role involves driving transformation in the current data landscape for our customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
• Steer large-scale projects using both waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery methods.
• Coordinate interdependent work streams involving multiple customer stakeholders and third-party vendors.
• Develop and manage comprehensive program/project plans, estimates, and associated management deliverables.
• Provide regular status updates to the steering committee and maintain continuous communication with Business and IT sponsors.
• Risk and Issue Management:
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues while monitoring and mitigating risks and dependencies to prevent delays.
• Ensure timely, quality delivery of data platform transformations by leveraging your expertise and proven techniques.
• Financial and Deliverables Management:
• Oversee project deliverables including invoices and billing.
• Manage the completion of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with technical and business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Engage in all aspects of the project lifecycle, including strategy, road-mapping, architecture, implementation, and development.
• Business Development:
• Participate in proposal, business development, and presales opportunities.
• Travel:
• Availability to travel for business purposes (up to 25% of the time).

Skills and Requirements:

• General Skills:
• Ability to rapidly identify project risks and opportunities.
• Advanced communication skills in English, both written and verbal, tailored to technical and business audiences.
• Dedicated, innovative, and resourceful with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
• Specific Experience:
• Proven experience managing virtual, international teams and customer stakeholders.
• Over 5 years of experience as a delivery Project Manager on Cloud Data Warehouses/Data Platforms, Business Intelligence, and Analytics projects.
• Successful track record managing projects involving Azure Data Analytics services (Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Databricks) and/or Databricks Data Intelligence
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an added advantage.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
• Experience in managing implementation or transformational projects involving Data Lakehouse architectures.
