Position Summary:

The Senior Data Architect leads and manages the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data structures in support of Firm-wide enterprise reporting. This position advises analysts, software engineers, and database administrators regarding software solutions and oversees data warehouse implementations and analytics maintenance and improvements.

As Senior Data Architect you will:

- Create, implement, and maintain complex enterprise data solutions, including designing data structures, formulating data integration strategies, and implementing customized databases and support programs

- Develop scripts and programs to extract, transform, and load data

- Consult with senior management to propose data software enhancements and functionality

- Design and maintain technical system documentation and process manuals

- Work with Product Managers & Business Analysts to assess and analyze user data reporting and systems data needs

- Advise on methods for representing various concepts using Business Intelligence & Reporting tools

- Provide high-level system maintenance support to resolve escalated system bugs and address end-user issues

- Create overall application and solution architectures, data management component designs, and systems integration and implementation solution

- Create data models and schemas at all levels including conceptual, logical, and physical for both relational and dimensional solutions. Models will include objects, entities, attributes, their inter-relationships and dependencies in 3N and/or dimensional format

- Identify master data (entities and attributes) and capture how data is interpreted by users in various parts of the organization

- Reduce the complexity of projects, services, and processes in order to get more done with more efficiency

- Coordinate new system development to ensure it is consistent and well integrated with existing application systems and solutions

- Collaborate with Business areas and cross- functional experts to fully understand business needs

- Consult with teams as needed on initiatives and provide tactical direction as well as provide architecture considerations on legacy solutions

- Communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or written manner, to be understood by customers, co-workers, and other employees of the organization

Job Specifications:

- Bachelor's degree

- At least seven (7) years of related work experience

- 10+ years of experience with data model and date warehouse design, including schema design and entity relationship diagrams

- 10+ years of experience collaborating with management, personas, and engineers to support data quality efforts

- Experience supporting the development of related data artifacts (Data Dictionary, ER Diagrams, Data Flows, Data Quality Plan, Data Asset Catalog)

- Experience working with SQL and relational databases, query development and optimization (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and others.

- Experience with Agile SDLC processes

- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment, utilizing CI/CD best practices

- Knowledge of change management around adopting a large-scale analytics program

- Experience in design and development of enterprise reporting and/or data warehousing solutions

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

- Proficient in use of Microsoft Visio for building architecture and design diagrams

- Advanced knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, T-SQL and database concepts

- Advanced knowledge of Web Services and other techniques for implementing systems interfaces

- Strong organizational, mathematical and analytical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities

- Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
