Senior Data Engineer

Location: Remote - Colombia

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

The right individual will be a proactive engineer who thrives with autonomy, cares deeply about project code's maintainability, and loves solving complex problems in a highly collaborative environment. You will go beyond coding and help craft the team’s direction, process, and culture.

What you'll get to do...

• Design, build, and unit-test innovative automation systems that are essential to our Customer Engagement team’s operations
• Establish a brand-new Customer Engagement technology platform, including migration from current systems.
• Own, architect, and implement new applications and features to transform key customer experiences using Data Science tools/technologies.
• Get hands-on experience with up-to-date technologies like Python/ML, AWS/Azure cloud, ReactJS, and Data Analytics services.
• Integrate with media business APIs like Facebook, Google SEO, and Media advertising platforms.
• Collaborate with teams across GoDaddy including marketing professionals, operations, engineers, and quality assurance engineers.
• Leverage industry best practices and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, testing automation, and Continuous Integration and Deployment.

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of professional experience in a Data Engineering Role with emphasis on Python, ML, and Data Science.
• Work experience on a cloud platform.
• Strong RESTful API experience in Data Visualization, API connections into databases, and building algorithms.
• Experience developing in JavaScript/TypeScript, in ReactJS.

You might also have...

• .Net/C#, SQL experience is considered a huge plus!
• Experience with certain marketing platforms such as Google SEO.
• Marketing Platform (Google Ads, Google Display & Video 360), Meta Ads, and Affiliate platforms.
• Experience leading a project from the requirements phase to completion.
• AWS Cloud Experience.
