Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work with the Data team to design and build scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions that contribute to Slingshot Aerospace’s product offerings.  From ideation, interviewing, design, to development and deployment, you make things happen.  You find great excitement and passion in being challenged; are able to find, evaluate, and leverage new technologies; have a love for solving complex problems; and are energized by making customers successful. You will work closely with other teams from across the organization.

• Must be a U.S. citizen authorized to work in the U.S.

• 5+ years of experience shipping products and solutions for data analytics, business process management, or time-series based software.
• Experience with data lakes, warehousing, processing, and data pipelines.
• Experience implementing Event Sourcing Architecture, Kafka Streaming, etc
• Experience implementing resilient and redundant systems with high observability
• Experience with a variety of AWS services such as Lambda, Fargate, VPC, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, S3, etc.
• Strong engineering background, preferably in fields such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, Kotlin, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Skill and comfort working in a rapidly moving startup environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.

• Experience working with streaming data systems 
• Familiar with building data platforms, microservices, distributed systems
• Professional AWS certifications
• Scalable SaaS/PaaS Experience
• DoD / Intelligence Community / Federal Government experience a plus but not required
• Early-stage data-centric startup experience
