Senior Data Engineer

Forbes is hiring a Senior Data Engineer within our Data Engineering team. At Forbes, data is at the heart of all of our business decisions. Our team is looking for an engineer to help support the data science team in productionalizing machine learning models. Models in production or late stage development include user lookalike modeling, article NLP, forecasting and are used widely throughout the business to drive revenue especially within our first party data platform, ForbesOne, and provide KPIs across the business. This position is fully remote. 

What You'll Do:

• Assist in deploying machine learning models to production environments including DevOps, performing QA & writing release notes
• Build new data pipelines for ML models and create robust documentation around new and existing pipelines
• Implement data monitoring using SQL and other tools to prevent model & data drift
• Optimize existing pipelines so they are running as efficiently as possible
• Communicate with data scientists and business stakeholders to gather requirements and plan realistic timelines

What You'll Bring:

• Two or more years of professional experience as a Data Engineer building data pipelines
• Hands on coding experience with Python building data pipelines and end to end systems
• Extensive SQL experience
• Experience with machine learning operations including orchestration, deployment and monitoring a huge plus
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform including Vertex AI, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery & Cloud Storage
• Experience with containerization methodologies like Docker
• Experience with workflow orchestration technologies like Airflow
• Experience with ML frameworks including SK Learn, Tensorflow & PyTorch

The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $130,000
