An individual contributor role that provides a high level of expertise in the design, development and integration of strategic, high-priority data applications across the entire software development lifecycle (Agile). This role may also provide guidance to others to support the building of complex technical capabilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

• Participate in the building of large-scale data processing systems and data lakes, optimized for both computational and storage efficiency on Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead the design, implementation and automation of data pipelines sourcing data from internal and external systems.
• Transform data for the optimal needs of various systems and business requirements.
• Design complex physical data models, projects and cloud-based data lake constructs including SQL/NoSQL database systems.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines for data model projects using SQL, Informatica and Python.
• Create analytical models using cloud based infrastructure for business users to have access to statistical and predictive KPIs.
• Create integrated data views based on business or analytics requirements.
• Perform robust unit testing to ensure deliverables match the design and provide expertise to support subsequent release testing.
• Ensure team adherence to best practice quality and standards working in an Agile development environment.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering and 5 (five) years of experience in data analytics.
Must have some work experience with each of the following:

• designing complex physical data models projects and cloud-based data lake constructs including SQL/NoSQL database systems;
• designing and developing ETL pipelines for data model projects using SQL, Informatica and Python; and
• creating analytical models using cloud based infrastructure for business users to have access to statistical and predictive KPIs.

Mon-Fri., 8:30am - 4:45pm, 37.5 hours/week, $140,046 to $150,000 per year, overtime exempt. This position qualifies for CNA's employee referral policy program.
