Blueprint is looking for a Senior Data Engineer who has experience with DataBricks to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!
As a Sr. Data Engineer with strong DataBricks skills you will be responsible for developing, testing, and improving, new and existing data systems and applications to retrieve data effectively. You’ll be responsible for ensuring these data systems run effectively and securely. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of productive collaboration with the development team and administrators. After reviewing the client’s environment, the candidate will ensure system consistency, provide technical support, and identify new requirements. Excellent communication with all levels of individuals involved in the success of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to develop simple, elegant solutions to complex problems
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, implement new knowledge and adapt to changes
- Ability to look at solutions in unconventional ways and see opportunities to innovate
- Troubleshoot data usage issues and malfunctions
- Update data sets according to requests and perform tests
- Get user requirements and identify new features
- Collaborate with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
- Explore new data products, services, and protocols and make suggestions for their usage
- Ensure all data applications and systems meet the client's performance requirements
- Being able to work as an individual contributor, as well as potentially managing other team members depending on project
- Excellent organization skills and able to multi-task and detailed oriented
- Ability to architect and build out metadata driven integration pipelines
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
- Proven ability in building high-performance and scalable data solutions using Azure, specifically Azure Data Factory
- 5+ Years Full SDLC experience: (design, coding, testing, problem solving, and debugging skills)
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Development (ETL/ELT, transformations, stored procedure)
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Python/Pyspark
- Well versed in software development and deployment best practices
- Excellent soft skills; confidently make decisions and lead projects
- Technical aptitude to evaluate business direction, guide client(s) on best practice decisions and lead internal teams
