Senior Data Engineer

Data and Analytics (D&A) at Workforce Solutions is a high-energy, fast-growing organization within Equifax charged with building and supporting best-in-industry data assets and analytical solutions. At Workforce Solutions, divisional and enterprise data assets are combined, transformed, and delivered to our customers through many delivery channels. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and developing frameworks for supporting data solutions at scale with minimal friction moving from prototyping to production.

You will be a part of the Data Platform team within D&A that is at the center of delivering reliable data infrastrucutre required for building and maintaining large-scale / scalable data engineering solutions. You will become an expert in our technical environment balancing immediate deliverables with future reusability, and evangelize best practices for data solution architecture. Being able to blend disparate technologies / platforms (BigQuery, DataFlow, Python, SQL, Spark, Pub/Sub) into cohesive solutions is critical for success. You will collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and data analysts across the organization to bring new and amazing features to our data platform.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and build on our high-performance data pipeline infrastructure
• Build scalable data pipelines leveraging Airflow
• Integrate new data sources into our data lake
• Mentor and share knowledge with data engineers across the organization
• Contribute to shared data engineering frameworks and patterns to improve the experience for users of the platform

What Experience You'll Need

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years of Python programming experience
• 5+ years of SQL and relational databases experience
• 5+ years of ETL / ELT design, implementation and maintenance experience
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud data warehouse technologies
• 3+ years of experience designing data models for optimal storage and retrieval
• Experience working with Airflow for data pipeline orchestration
