Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Simplot is on a transformational journey focused on delivering value to our customers now and in the future. The Enterprise Data & Analytics Team is responsible for creating, implementing, and supporting technology that enables the company to leverage data as a global business asset. In this position, you will be a strategic data engineering resource as we built out our Simplot Data Platform (SDP) for the Enterprise. This role will be responsible for creating solutions and architecture on our new cloud data environment. We are looking for a creative, curious, and capable individual who loves a challenge and is interested in working with a dynamic team of data professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test. and maintain reliable pipelines to move and transform data accurately based on architectural standards
• Develop, and implement information security and compliance models
• Create cloud-based solutions and processes that enable data and information workers
• Ensure that the performance and cost of the data environment is optimized for the organization
• Perform data industry research and work to develop a strategic technology roadmap
• Provide oversight, support, and education to the Simplot Data Engineering teams
• Cultivate cross-functional collaborative relationships with Internal Customers and Technology Professionals
• Communicate technical and business topics related to the SDP to key Business Stakeholders

Typical Education

• Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) in relevant discipline
