The Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

• You enjoy digging into the infrastructure on which your data systems run

• You enjoy writing reliable, resilient, performant code
• You have a strong desire to automate, instrument and test everything
• You enjoy engaging with customers of your solutions to capture feedback and drive improvements

What You Will Do:

• Innovate our data services to create a scalable, game-agnostic data analytics platform that serves all game teams and stakeholders
• Research, evaluate and prototype various data technology to ensure we are leveraging technologies that allow us to move quickly and stay nimble
• Design and implement data pipelines for both real-time stream data and batch processing
• Design data lakes and data warehouses that can support any query our studios need to throw at them • Build supportable, observable services which enable successful and efficient liveops
• Collaborate closely with other engineers across the entire ProbablyMonsters family
• Work with exciting datasets from multiple game titles
• Promote a culture of quality, reliability, and customer-focus

Qualifications:

• Experience designing and implementing data lakes which provide the ability to query large semi-structured datasets
• Experience developing pipelines built on enterprise streaming technology (AWS Kinesis, Kafka, RedPanda, Confluent, etc.)
• Three years of experience working with, cloud based, managed data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
• Expert knowledge in data transformation and modeling • Ability to write code in Python, Java, Go, or equivalent language(s)
• Ability to write complex SQL queries
• Experience working with CI/CD technologies
• Experience with Protobuf
