We're looking for a passionate, product-focused Senior Data Engineer who has hacked systems in creative ways, and who are curious about new languages, technologies, and trends. We believe that working hard is a byproduct of loving what you do and not something that can be assured on a timesheet.

Location: Mexico - Remote

Qualifications we are looking for:

5+ years of experience

• Azure (az-functions, az-eventhub)
• Python (OOP, FP, problem solving),
• SQL - Ability to write DDL/DML/DQL (any RDBMS) queries
• Spark
• RDD
• API Development experience
• Data testing
• Good logic-building skills
• Good technical presentation & delivery skills
• High-level written and oral communication skills

Nice to have:

• Understanding of database objects (i.e., entities, attributes, constraints, relationships, joins, etc.)
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.

Responsibilities:

Develop technological responses to targeted business outcomes. Analyze and develop data and information architecture deliverables, focusing on data as an asset for the specific line of business. Understand and follow reusable standards, design patterns, guidelines, and configurations to deliver valuable data and information. Demonstrate the company's core values ofrespect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Job Functions:

• Promote the reuse of data assets, including the management of the data catalog for reference
• Analyze technology environments to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
• Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state
• Leverage innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core data assets, including SQL-based, NoSQL-based, and Cloud-based data platforms
• Leverage enterprise standards for data domains and data solutions, focusing on simplified integration and streamlined operational and analytical uses
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
