Zayo is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Azure, dbt, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, data pipelines, and data integration frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our data engineering team, working on designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to support our data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data pipelines meet business needs.
• Develop data transformations and modeling using dbt (Data Build Tool) to ensure data quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Implement data integration solutions on Snowflake data warehouse, including schema design, data loading, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain source-to-target data mappings, ensuring data lineage and documentation are up-to-date.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data integrity and availability, proactively resolving any issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with the data architecture team to define and implement data governance policies and best practices.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new data technologies and tools to enhance data engineering capabilities.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers to help them grow and develop their skills.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and continuously improve your technical skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure, dbt, ADF, Snowflake, and data integration.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering best practices, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure.
• Familiarity with data integration frameworks and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Developer).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience with data orchestration and scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Base pay range: $105,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience
