Data & Analytics (D&A) is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team during an exciting cloud transformation. You will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Workforce Solutions' data assets, products, and business model to help inform key strategy decisions, while supporting a smooth transition to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Primary responsibilities will include gathering requirements, ETL, advising best GCP practices, data analysis, and deriving actionable insights. The responsibilities of this role lay the groundwork for an impactful career on the D&A team as a transformation and data subject matter expert.

What you'll do:
- Develop strategies, standards and best practices in the areas of data wrangling, and data integration and lead team adoption across analytical platforms
- Develop sustainable, reusable, and rigorously tested data pipelines wrangled from disparate systems to drive faster, more informed decision making and actionable insights
- Collaborate extensively with Data & Analytics, Marketing, and Technology leads to develop seamless consumption of data and drive actionable insights generation from Equifax's new big data analytical platform
- Play the role of data owner and architect; Actively participate in identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, conducting data quality check, etc.
What experience you need:
- 5+ years of work experience in building, loading, transforming and analyzing data within and across database platforms and other data stores is required; Proficiency in SQL is required
- 5+ years of scripting/coding experience required. Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, R, SAS; Airflow experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to rapidly learn new data assets and understand business context of data
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders
What could set you apart:
- Familiarity with Tableau
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or other ECommerce data
- Knowledge of Equifax's differentiated data assets and technology delivery platforms or equivalent industry experience
- Understanding of Agile methodology
