Senior Data Engineer

This role sits at the core of a modern analytics ecosystem powering marketplace insights, hiring intelligence, and performance measurement. You will design and maintain scalable data infrastructure that enables reliable, high-quality data for downstream analytics and business decision-making. Working within a collaborative and data-driven engineering environment, you will build robust pipelines, optimize data models, and ensure smooth operation of ELT workflows. The position requires strong technical depth in data engineering practices, with a focus on Snowflake-based architectures, dbt transformations, and Python-driven automation. You will also play a key role in improving observability, pipeline reliability, and data quality across systems. This is a high-impact role where your work directly supports strategic analytics initiatives across multiple teams in a fast-evolving marketplace domain.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and dbt to support reliable data transformation and integration across multiple sources.
• Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse structures, tables, and data models to enable efficient analytics and reporting.
• Build and manage robust ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring consistent data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery.
• Enhance pipeline reliability through monitoring, observability, and proactive troubleshooting of data issues and failures.
• Support the creation of dashboards and data outputs that provide actionable insights for business and product stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define requirements, align priorities, and communicate progress.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong experience in SQL for data querying, transformation, validation, and optimization in analytics and pipeline contexts.
• Proven experience building scalable data pipelines and automation workflows using Python.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including data modeling, warehouse design, and performance optimization.
• Solid experience working with dbt for modular transformations, testing, documentation, and ELT workflow development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms supporting data storage, orchestration, and processing.
• Strong ability to monitor pipeline health, diagnose issues, and proactively improve data reliability and quality.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
