Job Description:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related experience/field.

Work Experiences:

• 5+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle, DB2, SQL, Firebase, and BigQuery.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in cloud-based database management systems, such as Firebase and BigQuery.
• Understanding of data modeling and schema design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems, including Oracle, DB2, SQL, Firebase, and BigQuery, to support business objectives and ensure data availability and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, to gather requirements and develop database solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest, cleanse, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
• Implement data governance best practices, including data quality, data lineage, and metadata management, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data assets.
• Optimize the performance, scalability, and security of database systems, including backup and recovery, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, including data anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for database schemas, data dictionaries, and data flows.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Academy and other team members on database management best practices and techniques.
• Develop and maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring the continuous operation and resilience of critical systems and infrastructure.
