Senior Data Modeler (365), New York (hybrid)

THE ROLE 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler to join our newly created Service Consultant Sub-Practice and exclusively work with a mature and impactful long-term client in the financial services industry. This role requires a balance of independent work and teamwork, focusing on advancing the client's agenda. The ideal candidate will possess some understanding of the financial services sector, coupled with a proven track record of independent work and team collaboration. What you’ll do:

• Work with product owners, analysts, architects, and developers to build logical and physical data models for the new trading applications 
• Quickly develop a good understanding of the business and the key domains and entities
• Build new data models (conceptual, logical, physical) for domains such as customer master, payments, trading
• Enhance and rationalize existing data model to accommodate new business processes and entities
• Adhere to naming standards and maintain the data dictionary
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions 
• Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and meet performance requirements 
• Optimize and tune data models for maximum efficiency and speed 
• Introduce best practices for working in ER Studio

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 
• Deep experience in enterprise data modeling and data management
• Strong proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques 
• Proficiency in database management systems
• Experience with Databricks is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes 
• Certifications in data modeling or related fields are a plus
