Senior Data Product Manager, Technical

Let's talk about the team:

As a digital leader, the Senior Data Product Manager, Technical (hereafter referred to as the Senior PMT) will directly influence customers and stakeholders of the Global Data Platform and its services across the company. This key role will be responsible for driving data strategy, vision, and roadmaps, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. The Senior PMT will work with stakeholders across engineering teams and customer facing product organization to understand dependencies and ensure identification and prioritization of work items. As a technology leader, the Senior PMT thus possesses customer empathy and technical nous to make a large leap in innovation and technology development to fulfill the ResMed mission to positively impact 250 million lives by 2025.

The Senior PMT will have a strong focus to drive the future direction of data product architecture and capabilities, from understanding customers' pain points to conceptualizing solutions and requirements through to delivery. Specifically, for this role, the Senior PMT will work closely on building out the architecture strategy, with the aim of achieving economies of scale for the Global Data Platform.

You should be comfortable working in a rapid, iterative agile team environment. With a passion for learning, you are a self-driven individual with the initiative to learn new tools and products as well as identify opportunities to improve current processes and standards. We need someone who is eager to grow with us and is passionate about driving clarity in highly ambiguous technical environments, be skilled at developing long-term technical roadmaps, and have technical depth. This position also requires excellent project management skills, great empathy and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Let's talk about the role:

• You will use your passion for technology and solve customer problems to develop and drive architecture plans to develop exciting services for customers.
• You will influence senior leaders across ResMed and communicate ResMed digital services vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact.
• Lead product definition: You will drive the customer strategy, working backwards from customer problems, to write product narratives, PRFAQ (press release and FAQ) documents, and bring insights to the team with the right business metrics to inform directional strategy.
• Define product vision: You will define product roadmaps and align with customer goals and market requirements (PRD/MRD) for product releases.
• Lead product launch: You will own the GTM plan to deliver results that ensure fulfilment of customer and business goals in operational launch plans, in collaboration with product management team

Let's talk about you:

• Bachelors' degree in either Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of product management experience
• 8+ years of experience with data platforms, data management, analytics, machine
• 2+ minimum experience with Kafka and/or Snowflake
• Strong technically: you understand how data & analytics solutions are built, deployed, and maintained. As well as understand the capabilities and limitations of technologies
• Experience working in the healthcare industry or regulated environment with understanding of HIPAA, GDPR and data privacy requirements
• Demonstrated ability to set a vision, define product strategy, and drive alignment across multiple teams
• Demonstrated ability to find solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a data-informed, data-driven, written narrative.
