About the role
Insights from data power most decisions at Robinhood and our company trajectory is defined by the systems, tools, and analytics powered by this outstanding team. As a senior leader of the Fraud organization you would work with engineers, product managers and operations teams across the company to identify the biggest areas of risk for this team to focus on. In addition to this, you will help grow the Fraud team by hiring top talent from across the industry.
Your day-to-day will involve:

• Collaborate with different teams across the company including data infrastructure, product, fraud operations, risk and compliance to build seamless and safe experiences for Robinhood users. You will act as a thought partner with these collaborators across the broader organization.
• Design and implement a large scale fraud detection platform from the ground-up, as well as developing fraud mitigation strategies. You will be building a platform that is at the core of many systems at Robinhood.
• Manage an organization of data science managers as well as senior and staff data scientists and machine learning engineers. Leading this organization includes setting technical direction and vision, prioritizing projects, and facilitating execution. You will also grow the careers of your team members by providing actionable feedback throughout the year.

About you:

• Have the passion and drive to solve sophisticated engineering problems that drive business objectives.
• Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas. Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications.
• Experience working with leads from engineering, product, operations, and compliance to craft a roadmap and measures of success.
• Demonstrable ability to identify, hire, grow, and retain top talent from the industry and leading graduate programs.
• Several years of experience in managing a world class Fraud team.

• Strong presentation and effective communication skills
• Understanding of rules engines and machine learning in the fraud space
• Deep technical grasp of fraud vectors and excellent judgment on task prioritizations

CO Residents: In Colorado, the base pay for this position ranges from $192000 to $255000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood's equity plan.
