Summary of the role:

As a Senior Data Science Engineer at Kambr, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our revenue management solutions for the airline industry. Working as a key member of our data science team, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to develop and implement advanced data-driven solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and scaling machine learning models, building robust data pipelines, and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing our analytics applications and ensuring the successful integration of data science innovations into our products. A strong focus on impact, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to lead projects from conception through to deployment are essential for success in this role. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data science processes.

Reporting to the Manager of Data Science, you will help shape Kambr’s data-driven strategies, collaborate with diverse teams across Amadeus, and drive the evolution of our solutions to meet the evolving needs of the airline industry.

In this role you’ll:

• Design and Implement Solutions: Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and data analysis algorithms that drive key business outcomes and enhance our revenue management solutions.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to integrate data science innovations into our products and ensure they deliver actionable insights.

• Optimize Data Infrastructure: Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability in processing large datasets.

• Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and support to junior data scientists, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to team projects.

• Drive Impact: Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and insights, and lead efforts to translate these findings into strategic recommendations and improvements.

• Engage with Customers: Interact directly with airline customers to present and introduce new data science products, troubleshoot any issues, and provide advisory services to ensure their success with our solutions.

• Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data science projects with Kambr’s strategic goals and drive continuous improvement in our solutions.

About the ideal candidate:

You are a seasoned data science professional, a background in revenue management is preferred or similar experience to develop sophisticated models and strategies that directly impact revenue optimization for airlines.

• Expertise: Hands-on experience in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.

• Advanced Technical Skills: You excel in designing and deploying machine learning models and data analysis algorithms. Your proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages, along with your experience with SQL, sets you apart.

• Collaborative Mindset: You thrive in a team environment and have demonstrated success in working cross-functionally. Your ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations is a key strength.
