Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist role will support the quantitative and qualitative data needs of Sightline Payments' digital and physical casino portfolios. This includes the development and execution of fact-based reporting, analysis, and analytical models used to enhance decision-making across the company. This role will be a core team member to drive the data and analytic agenda and oversee continuous improvements in reporting / BI, database segmentation, third-party data, etc. in order to support the organization with insights and predictive models to produce improved results and impact.
This role is offering a base salary in the range of $100,000-$120,000, depending on experience. The top end of the range will be reserved for candidates with either strong gaming operations or payment processing backgrounds. There is the potential to earn up to an additional 15% annually in bonus. Our benefits start on the 1st of the month after the start date and include unlimited PTO, up to a 3% match on 401K contributions, paid parental leave, and a robust health benefits package.
Here's an idea of some of the items you'll be tasked with:
- Support the development of advanced analytics such as predictive modeling, segmentation, design of experiments, and profitability measures.
- Provide input into the development of an internal data warehouse to support acquisition and portfolio campaigns such as contact history, including integration of agency data.
- Support the Director in securing buy-in from key stakeholders about results from measurement to actionable business applications.
- Work with leaders to establish appropriate KPI's, ROI calculations, and predictive models for marketing campaigns to determine efficiency and effectiveness, provide optimization recommendations, and influence marketing campaign planning.
Here's an idea of the skills and experience you'll need to be considered:
- Demonstrated experience in statistical and/or quantitative analysis, forecasting, predictive analytics, multivariate testing, outlier analysis and/or optimization algorithms.
- Understanding and experience in building data structures to automate and support campaign process as well as analytic functions.
- Strong technical skills, including database tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R).
- Comfortable using Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
- Strong ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible content for executive management consumption. Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
