Senior Data Scientist IBM Corporation New York NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
- Work within an AI (Artificial Intelligence) focused organization that delivers solutions across industries such as energy and utilities manufacturing government forestry and agriculture consumer products retail insurance and financial services.
- Build AI-powered solutions using one or more AI agents to address complex business problems.
- Architect and automate the AI solution pipeline including data processing model fine-tuning inferencing and integrating models with feedback loops.
- Design solutions for various use cases such as regulatory compliance related to deforestation-free products wildfire risk assessment in powerline corridors flood risk evaluation and agroforestry risk indexing.
- Leverage diverse environmental datasets such as satellite imagery Lidar and weather data along with internal or client-specific datasets to develop comprehensive AI models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clients product managers engineers software developers and junior data scientists to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Mentor and enable junior data scientists in model training techniques and tools.
- Develop and refine AI models and solutions through rapid prototyping incorporating feedback from stakeholders to ensure alignment with client needs.
- Conduct testing deployment and performance evaluation of AI solutions in initial rollouts.
- Coordinate the transition of mature AI solutions to support and services teams for continued operations and scaling.
