We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and statistical modelling with a particular focus on prescriptive analytics. This role will involve analyzing complex data sets, developing prescriptive models, and delivering actionable recommendations to support business decisions. The Data Scientist will also play a crucial role in enhancing our data analytics offerings, implementing prescriptive business processes, and upskilling team members.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

• Develop and implement prescriptive models to optimize business operations and decision-making.

• Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to support data-driven strategies.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.

• Ensure data quality and integrity through data cleaning, transformation, and validation.

• Mentor and upskill team members in data science and analytics techniques.

We’re excited to have you if you have:

• A Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• Strong knowledge of statistical methods, prescriptive analytics, and data mining techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

You may also have:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.

• Knowledge of database management systems like SQL and NoSQL.

• Previous experience in a business intelligence or analytics team.

• A track record of continuously improving and innovating data analytics processes and methodologies.

• A passion for staying current with the latest trends and advancements in prescriptive analytics and data science.
