Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Senior Data Scientist are responsible for: leading the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence models to provide financial insights that improve lead targeting, capture and qualification to enhance FE International’s core M&A business function.
In an ever-changing market, FE International strives to be ahead of the curve with regards to strategic and private equity buyer demand and is seeking a research oriented individual to challenge the status quo and drive data-led strategic decision-making across the firm.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data discovery, exploratory analysis, model development and tuning to determine the appropriate qualification of leads;
- Assist in developing targeted strategies to improve leads quality, increase efficiencies and reduce costs;
- Act as lead expert in predictive analytics, statistical modeling, big data, and data-driven decision making;
- Measure industry performance, identify trends and opportunities, and improve processes based on discoveries;
- Identify opportunities for leveraging company data to improve and drive business solutions;
- Working closely with various teams across the company, including lead generation team, marketing and M&A team;
- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: industry trends and comps and make recommendations, as well as communicate findings and trends to senior executives to support decision-making; and
- Monitors weekly and monthly performance through various comparison models to identify changes in trends.
Required Skills:
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data;
- In-depth knowledge or experience working of finance, financial analytics and valuation approaches;
- Deep understanding of Data Analytics and working with big data;
- Practical knowledge of Profitability Analysis;
- Strong FP&A skills;
- Quantitative techniques; and
- Understanding of probability and statistics.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics;
- Forecasting and modelling experience desirable; and
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position desirable.
