Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Data Scientist to join our team! In this role you will get to help the Marine Corps improve their data architecture.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work on the Marine Crops' Big Data Platform project management team to assist and advise the government on data governance and management best practices
  • Facilitate and oversee data acquisition processes
  • Provide data architecture consultation and translate advance technical concepts to less-technical leadership
  • Work closely with BDP users to understand their data needs and use cases
  • Develop programmatic and technical documentation in support of the BDP program
  • Participate in market research activities to provide alternative courses of action for the government to consider while building out technical roadmaps.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in statistics, mathematics or related technical or scientific field; or similar course of study at an accredited school (or substituted education and experience) and typically 10+ years of related experience. MS Office,
  • Experience with data mining,
  • Ability to develop and manipulate, and maintain databases.
  • Experience using COTS statistical software (SPSS, SAS, MatLab etc.), COTS desktop software (MS Office and Access), and the Windows operating environment.
  • Experience with software packages used for advanced statistical analysis of operational data and tools for data visualization.

Salary Range:

$113,100.00 - $203,600.00
