Senior Data Scientist, Machine Learning

We are looking for a Data Scientist to help identify and build new machine learning services and products within our multi-terabyte data lake. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that includes deep learning experts, software engineers, and officers from all branches of the military.  We also do something common in Silicon Valley tech companies but radical in the defense space: we develop and test products side-by-side with our users, including on US military bases and remote locations abroad. What You’ll Do 

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate user experience, product and software solutions for green-field, ambiguous problems 
• Designing new ML systems/model architectures to achieve SOTA performance on problem sets 
• Data wrangling to organize unstructured, varied datasets for model training/problem solving 
• Deep dive data analysis to extract insights for product teams and to inform model training/development 
• Work with the ML team to train and deploy custom ML models 
• Write technical documentation 

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Data Scientist, ML Researcher, ML Engineer or similar role 
• Experience with Python 
• Experience with model training and deep learning in the context of a framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow 
• Experience with building data pipelines for model training/large-scale data analysis 
• Experience with model training and deep learning 
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work around the stack

• Experience with Anomaly Detection 
• Experience with Geospatial/Time-Series Analysis
