Senior Data Scientist (Music Track)

An exciting opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and ground breaking innovation working on , a product leveraging a universal ethically trained, high-fidelity AI model tailored for text-to-music generation.

Reporting to the VP Research you'll train Jen to learn patterns and analyse data insights. You'll have a passion for the AI generative area and have experience in music data.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Labeling and Data Engineering

• Collect and organize metadata, such as composition patterns (e.g. ABABCB), to enable our AI, Jen, to learn and identify musical patterns.
• Develop a comprehensive labelling standard to ensure consistency and accuracy in the metadata.
• To create a robust dataset that enhances the AI's ability to understand and generate music compositions based on learned patterns.

User Data Insights

• Analyze user interactions to gain insights into common prompts related to instruments, genres, and other parameters.
• Collect and analyze user data to identify trends and patterns in the prompts entered.
• Use these insights to refine the AI’s capabilities, ensuring it better meets user needs.
• Identify potential areas for improvement in the AI, data collection methods, or additional functionalities to enhance user experience.
• To continually improve the AI's performance and user satisfaction by understanding and addressing user preferences and behaviors.

App Parameter Tuning and Testing

• Fine-tune application parameters and conduct rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Regularly adjust and optimize app parameters based on user feedback and performance metrics.
• Perform comprehensive testing to identify and resolve any issues, ensuring the app functions seamlessly.
• To maintain high standards of app performance and user experience through continuous optimization and testing.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on data scientist experience.
• Must have music data knowledge background.
• Real passion and experience in AI generative area.
• Must be based in New Zealand or Australia.
