Senior Data Software Engineer

Our client is EU-based retailer specializing in the distribution of parts and accessories for material handling, industrial, construction, and agricultural equipment worldwide, is currently undergoing a digital transformation. As part of this transformation, the client is keen to integrate IT capabilities that can effectively bolster its existing analytical functions and cater to emerging use cases, all while collaborating closely with its technology teams.

The Key Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data platforms and integrating different data sources into them. A senior candidate with excellent skills in Data Software Engineering will be the perfect fit for this role. The preferred location for this position is Lviv, and remote work is also possible.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data platforms
• Integrate different data sources into data platforms
• Collaborate with the team to optimize and enhance data platforms' performance
• Build and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines
• Write and maintain code, primarily using Java 8 and Kafka Streaming and Connect
• Provide recommendations on best practices for data engineering projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Software Engineering
• Expertise in Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Fivetran, Google Cloud BigQuery, Google Cloud Dataflow, and Kafka Streaming and Connect
• Experience working with REST API, Oracle Cloud and Salesforce Data Integrations, Java or Scala, and Spark Streaming
• Good communication skills and willingness to communicate
• Upper-Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written (B2+)
