Senior Data Software Engineer [GCP]

We are looking to bring on board a Senior Data Software Engineer to our team.
This individual will be instrumental in building applications with Python and operating within a cloud infrastructure, focusing on data-centric projects on the Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Build applications using Python in a cloud setting, with a focus on data-centric projects on the Google Cloud Platform
• Work with the team to design and create ETL/ELT solutions
• Employ Google Composer or Google CloudRun for effective data management and orchestration
• Aid in the creation and upkeep of data warehouses utilizing methods like Data Vault 2.0
• Deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through Terraform for efficient cloud resource management
• Engage in CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions or similar deployment techniques
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data software engineering solutions

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in application development using Python
• Experience with data-centric projects on the Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Google Composer (or Apache Airflow) or Google CloudRun (or dockerized Python containers)
• Basic knowledge of data processing using SQL
• Experience with ETL processes and awareness of methodologies like Data Vault 2.0
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• B2+ level fluency in English communication

Nice to have

• Advanced understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Prior experience working within an Agile development environment
• Additional certifications related to Python, Google Cloud, or Terraform
