Senior Data Strategist

Reporting into the Strategy Director, the Senior Data Strategist will play a key role in inspiring, driving & measuring every campaign created by MAL.  This individual should have strong  social media analytics skills and have a passion for using data as creative component of effective storytelling. This is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with our global teams to manage & simplify data to utilize it for both short term & long term strategy building.

The work:

Translate data into insights that will inspire & drive strategy 

• Explore themes that may impact brand & proactively share them with team/agency
• Provide data & evidential insights to help planners build creative brief for their pods as well as year long strategy 
• Identify best sources of data for each need 
• Explore & establish best measurement method(s) for our campaigns
• Work closely with Apple’s analysts to share best knowledge & practices
• Collaborate with analysts & planners across our global offices to main consistency in output
• Study data reliability & level of accuracy

Who will thrive in this role:

• Creative agency background; experience working closely with strong strategic partners
• 2-3+ years of analytics or data strategy experience 
• Possess strong data analytic skills 
• Proficient at Microsoft Excel functions like pivot tables, v-lookup, basic statistical analysis
• Preferred experience in Tablau, R, Staa, SPSS, SAS
• Intimate knowledge of key web/social analytics platforms, including but not limited to:
• Social Listening: Netbase, Crimson Hexagon, Sysomos, Brandwatch
• Native Platform Analytics: Instagram Analytics, Facebook Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Twitter Analytics
• Social Analytics Tools: Sprinklr, Sprout, Unmetric, ListenFirst
• Proficient with Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Microsoft applications
• Great communication skills; must be able to write clearly & quickly, present ideas in an organized & coherent manner
• Must be a self-starter & a problem solver
• Experience working with a global brand and/or entertainment brands would be a huge plus
