Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Database Administrator to join our vibrant team, focusing on Oracle database systems.
The ideal candidate will provide paramount support and development for ongoing projects alongside our Data Stores team. With an emphasis on automating and optimizing our database environment, the role requires someone who thrives in pivotal technical positions and exhibits strong leadership capabilities in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain the database
• Facilitate database migration projects across on-prem and cloud architectures using OCI
• Proactively analyze data access patterns to identify performance bottlenecks and hotspots
• Collaborate with developers to design data models and optimize query performance
• Establish and uphold best practices for Oracle database management, monitoring health, and routine backups
• Oversee cluster storage capacity and strategize for future growth aligned with project goals
• Promptly diagnose and address production issues as they arise

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with Oracle
• Proficiency in core Oracle concepts and architecture
• Familiarity with the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Capability to configure and maintain Exadata and RAC environments
• Expertise in Linux/Unix server management
• Understanding of CI/CD processes utilizing Jenkins or GitLab
• Familiarity with AWS technologies
• Proficiency in spoken and written English at a B2 level or higher

• Background in using GoldenGate
• Knowledge of Exadata and RAC
• Competency in Linux/Unix server environments
