Senior Database Developer

ADP is hiring a Senior Database Developer. This position is located in our Roseland, NJ office and it is a hybrid role.
As a Senior Database Developer you will:

• Analyze technical requirements and collaborate with Architects and Developers
• Define business rules.
• Generate physical and logical data models
• Develop, modify and maintain existing data models and architectures
• Construct migration strategies between different data models and architectures
• Apply reverse engineering techniques to understand and document existing data stores.
• Document data capture, storage, and manipulation requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder reviews on all data architecture deliverables.
• React quickly to emerging customer requirements and technologies. Ability to anticipate future needs and design with reusability in mind.
• Ensure quality in the production of data assets.
• Assist in the development of overall project plans and timetables, analysis and identification of intermediate deliverables.
• Work with the ongoing support teams as needed to resolve production defects.

The qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• 6+ years of Database development experience
• Expert relational Data Base knowledge
• Professional proficiency with SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SSRS and other database management tools
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries, procedures, functions and packages is desirable.
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• Experience with Database Administrator roles (backup, restore, security) a plus
• Hands-on experience in configuration and connectivity with data sources such as SQL databases, csv files.
• Experience with other APIs is desirable.
• Experience with agile development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• An ability to listen, to communicate, to influence a desire to work with other smart innovators.
• The ability to self-manage one's own time, work one's own deliverables
