Senior Database Developer (remote)

Job Summary:

AssetWorks (www.assetworks.com) is an industry-leading technology and consulting solutions provider for asset- and infrastructure-intensive organizations in government, education, utilities, telecommunications, transportation, healthcare, and the commercial sector. We are seeking a remote Senior Oracle Developer for our web and mobile applications. We are continuously adding new features to our products and customizing them for new customers, so additional database developers are needed to keep up with our growth.

Job Description:

Main Duties Include:

• Review upcoming work with the team and plan out implementation strategies.
• Develop, implement, and verify solutions based on Scope of Work and agile stories.
• Perform informal code reviews over implemented solutions with a peer.
• Demo stories and changes to QA and after full testing to management and support.
• Research changes in technology and upcoming treads that could affect our application.

Requirements Include:

• 7+ years of professional Oracle PLSQL application programming experience.
• Willingness to learn Oracle Apex application engineering and development.
• Experience utilizing Oracle databases with 500+ tables.
• Experience designing tables, data analysis, writing queries (SQL and PL/SQL), performance tuning, and table partitions;

• Strong knowledge of triggers, stored procedures, third party tools, and transaction monitoring;
• Supports production systems, analyzes and resolves production issues in a timely manner.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent analytical skills, time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi task, ability to routinely make effective and timely decisions in alignment with management direction is required.
• Experience with one of the following: SQL Navigator or Toad or SQL Developer
• Work experience with very large ERP system or transactional DBMS.
• This role will be doing Oracle Programming using Oracle Apex 21+, PL/SQL, Oracle 19c databases, TOAD, jQuery, SOAP and REST based APIs.
• Performing full application development lifecycle including gathering initial requirements, functional analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance & support of applications and reports.
• Proven knowledge of Web & Mobile based application development
• Experience with an agile development environment a plus.
  • Will be working with an integrated team of developers and QA.
• Knowledge of Oracle APEX is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and server-side CSS pre-processing platforms is a plus.
• Experience Building application with 508 accessibility and WC3 requirements is a plus.
