Job Description

As a Senior Database Engineer at Therapy Brands, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and efficiency of our database systems. 
You will work closely with our development, operations, and customer support teams to ensure that our databases operate at peak performance levels, meeting the needs of our customers and supporting our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough performance analysis of our database systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
2. Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data access patterns to improve performance and efficiency.
3. Indexing and Schema Design: Evaluate and optimize database indexing strategies and schema designs to enhance query performance and reduce latency.
4. Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot database performance issues, working closely with development and operations teams to implement effective solutions.
5. Best Practices and Standards: Define and promote best practices and standards for database performance tuning and optimization across the organization.
6. Documentation and Training: Document tuning strategies, optimization techniques, and best practices, and provide training and guidance to team members as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing, and schema design.
• Proficiency in database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully optimizing the performance of large-scale database systems in production environments.
