About This Opportunity:

We are looking for a Sr Database Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle database solutions and data warehousing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing high-availability cloud-based databases to support our enterprise risk management software. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and engineers to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and performance. This role will also involve mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Architecture, System Design & Data Warehousing: Lead the design, development, and optimization of cloud-based Oracle databases and data warehouses. Define database development standards and participate in code reviews to ensure the scalability and stability of data systems for our SaaS platform.
• Database Operations, Performance Monitoring & Administration: Administer and optimize high-availability cloud databases, focusing on performance tuning, reliability, and backups. Manage data pipelines and business continuity plans to ensure seamless operations.
• Mentorship & Training: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on database best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's overall technical skill set.

About You And What Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: 6+ years of technical experience in Oracle database architecture, design, and administration, with a strong focus on data warehousing and backend data engineering solutions. Experience with cloud-based databases and Unix/Linux-based platforms is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Oracle databases for both transactional and analytical processing. Proficiency in ETL tools such as Oracle GoldenGate and cloud database solutions. Strong skills in performance tuning and database optimization.
• Core Competencies: Proven ability to lead database projects from conception to delivery in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Work Eligibility: Authorized to work in the US (sponsorship not available).
