SENIOR DATABASE ENGINEER

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and transport, to support clinical and business intelligence reporting, such as within a data warehouse program or to support a complex application that depends heavily on enterprise data. The Database Engineer has keen insights into the client's business and expected analytical requirements. The Database Engineer provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. A dedicated resource to monitor and maintain our data ingestion pipelines for overall data quality. Our various tools leverage advance technologies but we will need a team member to troubleshoot any issues that affect the data of our platforms.

Education/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree required. Three years experience.

Desirable background :

a. Data and meta-data management in health care systems

b. Data integration and quality control in health care systems

c. Experience in clinical informatics, clinical terminologies (ex. ICD10, LOINC, CPT, NDC, etc.)

d. Knowledge of Epic EHR system

e. Familiar with clinical data models (SQL)

f. Working knowledge of clinical research

Required background:

a. Database support in healthcare, life sciences and/or clinical research, including building and maintaining a database

Other required skills:

a. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills to communicate and document user interactions and requirements

b. Strong analytical skills to analyze, categorize and translate business/user requirements to functional requirements

c. Excellent presentation skills for demo and user training, writing skills for user documentation

d. Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, establish and enhance business analysis procedures and improve operational efficiency
