About the role

As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for creating and implementing user-facing features with a focus on elegant responsive and high-performing UI components. You will work closely with designers other engineers and other teams to enhance the user experience across our software ensuring that both the design and implementation are intuitive visually stunning and aligned with user needs. Your expertise in UX/UI design combined with your technical front-end skills will be key to elevating our product’s user experience to the next level.

What you will be doing

• Design and build beautiful user-friendly and scalable UI components that enhance the user experience for our platform

• Translate high-fidelity designs into interactive functional code using React TypeScript and modern front-end technologies

• Continuously improve the usability performance and aesthetics of the application by gathering feedback conducting user research and iterating on design

• Partner with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs helping shape and implement product features from concept to final product

• Share insights and knowledge with engineers and designers to promote best practices in design and front-end developmen

• Improve application performance by profiling optimizing and monitoring UI to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on UX/UI design ideally in a SaaS environment (marketing software website builders etc.)

• You have a solid understanding of design principles UX best practices and how to translate designs into functional code using front-end technologies such as React TypeScript and CSS frameworks

• You are proficient in designing reusable React components and hooks that are scalable and maintainable

• You have a keen eye for aesthetics and are passionate about creating delightful and accessible user interfaces that enhance the user experience

• You are comfortable collaborating with designers to ensure the UI aligns with the intended user experience and meets high design standards

• You have experience with state management frameworks such as Redux ensuring smooth and consistent interactions across the app

• You are experienced with front-end testing frameworks (Jest Cypress) and believe in writing tested code

• You are fluent in English (both written and verbal) and proficiency in German is a plus

• Experience with Next.js Node.js or Svelte is a plus but not required

• Familiarity with TailwindCSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks is a plus
