Role Overview

We’re looking for a Design Engineer to help create the next generation of experiences at PSA. From marketplace and fintech to submissions and collector tools you'll combine design excellence and engineering expertise to build products that make collecting more safe easy and fun. 

What You’ll Do

As a Design Engineer at PSA you will report to the Director of Design and partner closely with Design Product and Engineering to deliver experiences across the PSA ecosystem. From marketplace and fintech experiences to submissions account management and the future of collecting you'll help bring craft quality and delight to products that collectors use every day.

• Collaborate with design product and engineering to ship everything from craft and polish updates to full-fledged delightful experiences in our production web product.

• Partner with the design and research teams to quickly build prototypes to test concepts internally and externally.

• Establish evolve and maintain design foundations systems and patterns for the team setting the bar for quality and consistency. 

• Work with and mentor feature engineers on design best practices and help unblock designs or interactions within a specific feature.

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this position is $150000 - $220000 Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including location job level experience and skill set. What We’re Looking For:

Above all we’re looking for someone who deeply cares about craft polish and delight in user experiences - and has work whether side projects or company projects to back it up with. 

• 3+ years of React and Svelte

• Skills and understanding of good product design (layout padding type color).

• Perfectionism and obsession in the work you ship getting every detail right.

• Experience working closely with a design and a product team.

• Someone who is energized by close collaboration and is proactive to a fault.

• Experience building and maintaining a design system and evangelizing the systems across teams. 

• Examples of highly polished side projects whether shipped or simply concepted.

• Can reduce complex problems down to simple design solutions.

• A passion for collecting is a plus.
