Engineer, design, and release, using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Vismockup tools, passenger vehicle exterior lighting systems components including Headlamp (HL), Rear Combination Lamp (RCL), Front Fog Lamp (FFL), Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL), Rear Fog Lamp (RFL), License Plate Lamp (LPL), Side Indicator (SI), Daytime Running Lamp (DRL), Closure Lamp (CL), Logo Lamp, Central Bar Lamp (CBL), front/rear reflex, according to Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) and to meet dimensional, electrical, homologation, regulatory (optical and thermal), and timing requirements. Interface with vehicle development teams from Chassis, Body, Electrical, Design Studio, Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing. Provide technical specifications to meet legal requirements including U.S. FMVSS 108 (Lamps etc.), Europe UNECE R48, Brazil CONTRAN, and China CCC), where vehicles will be commercialized. Employ Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) tools to analyze and report on product engineering designs to meet manufacturing requirements and vehicle assembly processes.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: designing and releasing, using NX and Teamcenter tools, passenger vehicle exterior lighting systems components including Headlamp (HL) and Rear Combination Lamp (RCL), and to meet dimensional, electrical, and regulatory requirements or related.
