About this role:

The Senior Designer will serve as a strategic and conceptual design lead on all creative design elements within the creative department for MATTE.  You work with multiple brands across the agency in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working cross functionally, you will take ownership of developing design – from ideation to execution. You should be results driven and agile enough to look at performance/analytics and adjust. This role will report to the Creative Director and  will be responsible for:

Design

• Concept and design engaging, innovative, and functional experiences for branded content.
• Ideation and execution of pitches, materials and mocks to support teams on client deliverables.
• Working with multiple clients – adjusting to each specific brand and driving consistency across all design projects. 
• Lead and shepherd creative from concept stages through to production working with producers and project managers to deliver the final product.
• Assist the New Business team with presentation delivery, and review pitches. 
• Build visually compelling client decks
• Produce work that aligns with designated style guides for clients and internal teams
• Keep working files organized and follow best practices for file prepping/delivery and archiving
• Attend weekly creative meetings and brainstorms
• Take design direction from Creative Directors, Art Directors and Associate Creative Directors to improve visual composition.

Teamwork

• Provide direction and guidance to junior designers where needed
• Contribute new ideas for design treatments, planning, and strategy with the team
• Keep up with news, technology, and content in media landscape
• Keep a professional and collaborative communication style across teams

Development of MATTE’s Creative Vision 

• Expand existing MATTE brand creative 
• Help develop overarching design direction for MATTE media platform across print and digital 
• Help refine MATTE tone of voice, creative vision, and brand messaging

What you will bring:

• 5+ years design experience in an in-house studio and/or ad agency environment
• Strong digital and print design skills
• Experience designing direct mail, digital assets, print/event collateral, branding/logo development, videos, etc.
• Excellent layout and type skills
• Strong knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, brand development and the creative process
• Ability to translate business strategy into creative thinking and execution that drives results
• Strong collaborator/team player, must be able to work with cross functional internal teams in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Keynote, Creative Cloud, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office and GSuite products

Salary Range: 115,000-130,000/year
